"These works are not preparatory sketches, each work is one of a kind. My oil crayons have been with me to record special sites which inspired me throughout my life, ever since my art school days in the 1950s; places like Paris, Palermo, Sicily; Cambridge, England; Caromojo, Africa; Brooklyn, NY; Montreal, Canada. Most of my crayon works are created with Bees Wax crayons, a much harder medium than the North American oil Crayons."
